Intel: Cointelbones Cassette

2026, Chain Smoking Records

Clear Cassette with Liner

Intel generated some buzz with their 2025 release “Afterdust”. Jason Harding at Maximum Rock and Roll called it, “…a heady kind of hardcore that violently bucks any attempts you may make to neatly categorize it.”

Intel focus their attack on Cointelbones with songs that use classic punk and hardcore as a jumping off point and grab bits of garage rock, surf, and noise while completely ignoring the metal influences that are increasingly present in much of modern hardcore. Vocalist John Cheesbrew eschews boring tropes and sloganeering for a more literary approach which he delivers in a unique and ferocious bark all his own. Cointelbones is an aggressive, catchy, and fun punk record that dares to try something new while not forgetting what makes this music great in the first place.
